Join us for our New Adventure!!

Before I begin …. WE HAVE NOT CLOSED!!!

 

First of all, I want to thank each and every one of you.  This venture of mine started almost 15 years ago and at that time I never dreamed I would be in a store-front meeting and coming to know so many incredible people – from coast to coast!!  As you know, over the past years we have seen some very tough times … especially with the Canadian dollar suffering as it has.   A question/comment we quite often here is, “Are you closing … please don’t close!!”   Well, I am here to tell you that we are not closing!!   I love this hobby soooo much and I believe in it even more.  Crafting is like therapy for so many of us.  We can release ourselves and be free of everyday “life”.   It is a way to be expressive while cherishing and preserving what is most precious to us, our memories.

 

Although we would have liked nothing more than to stay put at our former retail location, staying there was no longer feasible.  With that being said, we have a new adventure started and are exicted and hopeful that you will all come along for the ride!!  Effective December 15th, 2016, we moved our business to our home office and are continuing as an "on-line business" with the perks of being a "Pop-Up-Shop" throughout London and our surrounding area.

 

Biggest Fear:  My biggest fear is that I am letting people down. This has been the most emotional part to come to terms with. This has been such a difficult decision to make and I respect and understand that this new forum will not be the best for all of my customers.  My beautiful Thursday Ladies have been coming to my store since day one, and so many of you join us almost every Tuesday & Wednesday ...  I am asking that you give this a chance and join us for this new and exciting ride.  I promise to be close by and keep you crafting!!  My goal is to be here for decades to come. 

 

Our goal remains as always:   To bring our customers the very best of the best and the newest of the new!

 

Moving to our home office - What does this mean for you  …. Read on …..

 

Classes/Workshops/Crops:   We will still be offering fabulous classes and informative workshops to our customers.  You can say that we are, in a way, taking SGD on the road!!  We are looking to book meeting rooms, halls, churches, etc. throughout London and surrounding areas, to host crafting events.   At our events we will be offering all-day crops, classes, make & takes and, of course, our amazing store will be on-site for you to get the newest of the new and pick-up orders.  In short, at all of our events you will be able to do one and/or ALL of the following:

               Crop the day away on your own projects

               Take a class (or 2 or 3!!)

               Break for a fun M&T (or 2 or 3!!)

               See demos ... learn about new products

               Shop our amazing on-site store

               Pick up orders …. And MORE!!

 

Save the dates!!   We have already had three very successfuls events at the Komoka Community Centre! (3 min drive from our current location)!!  On all of these dates we offered cropping, classes, make n takes, demos, shopping and LOADS of FUN!  Please stop by and join the fun!  Details for these events are available on the crops/classes page here on the website!!  We have several dates scheduled for the month of February.  Please schedule us in your calenders and get ready to CRAFT, CRAFT, CRAFT!!   

 

Social Media:  This element of our new adventure will be a very big part.  Through social media and our website, you will be able to stay informed of all of our upcoming events!!  Who knows, we may be in Stratford one week and Chatham the next!!   Now is the time to get your groups of crafty ladies together … book us for a day of crafting fun.  We will bring the Craft to You!!  We will come and teach classes, offer our on-site store, be a Vendor at your fund-raising crops!!  So please, if you are not already receiving our informative newsletter, sign up today, and/or like us on Facebook!  And of course, you can always still email and/or call us.  

 

On-Line Shopping:   This remains and will be even better! We will continue to offer on-line shopping 24/7!!!   Many of our online customers, we have had from day one - almost 15 years now!!   You can count on us to still keep you in all of your crafting needs/wants!!  And if we don’t have it, we will do our utmost to get it!!   Just ask!!  Our inventory counts will be maintained on a very frequent basis, to help avoid backorders.

 

Inspiration/Samples:   We pride ourselves in offering our customers beautiful samples to draw upon for inspiration.  We are happy to report that our current Design Team remains!! At every event and through social media, you will continue to find stunning samples from all of our incredible designers, including:  Judy, Karen, Lori, Trish, Kim, Andrea, Matilda, Michelle, Anja & soon coming, Connie & Shonda!  And who knows, we may just be reaching out to YOU to be a guest designer!

 

Pick up Orders:  A part of our current business is that we allow customers to order online and pick up their order within 2 weeks, without paying in advance.  We know that customers really enjoy this feature and it is something that I do not believe any other store offers. Due to strict municipal laws regarding retail being in a home, customers will not be able to come to our home for shopping or pick up orders.  However, we will still offer pick-up orders at all of our events.  We will let you know in advance where we will be hosting events, so that you can pop by (in Komoka on January 12, 27 & 31).  Or, we would be happy to ship your orders to you.  If items are flat (such as a die or a stamp), we can ship to you for only $3!  Payment for pick-up orders, will be required at the time the order is placed (unless otherwise indicated).  This will help us maintain inventory counts so that all of our shoppers can enjoy an up-to-date shopping experience. If you are uncomfortable with ordering online, please call us and we will be happy to walk you through it, and/or take your order and payment information over the phone. It is always our pleasure to assist you in any way we can :) 

 

Garage Sale:  Yes, we will still host two garage sales/year … they will just be in a different location. 

 

Gift Cards:   Yes, you can still use your gift cards (from garage sales or gift card) online, or stop by at any of our events and shop with your gift card there.  There are no expiry dates on any of our gift cards and WE ARE NOT CLOSING … so please be assured that you do not have anything to worry about. Unsure how to use your gift card online, send us an email or call us, and we will happily walk you through the process. 

 

Art Journal & Monthly Calendar Classes:   These are very popular with our customers …. We’ve got you covered … All classes (and MORE) will still be offered each & every month! 

 

Retreats: Yes, we will still offer 2 fabulous retreats/year!! If you've never been, "Girlfriends, you do not know what you are missing!!"

 

Pre-orders & Special orders:   You will start to notice more pre-orders and special orders on our site.  We encourage you to continue to take advantage of these. It is the best way to get the newest items before they are discontinued.  

 

Shelving Units:

Although we will be keeping some for our events, we will be selling several of our shelving units as they will not be needed in the new office.   Details will follow as we figure out what we will be taking with us and what we will be selling.
